Vegas Pro 19 icon

I uninstalled VP19 B643 to install B550, but could not open some of my projects. So uninstalled and went back to B643.

Running VP19 B643, it started and ran as it should, but the taskbar icon was a white box. It was no longer the blue circle with the white V in the middle.

The icon is correct on the desktop (shortcut) and in the Start Menu. Also in C: Program files. It's just a visual annoyance (it does start from the taskbar) considering all the other icons are correct.

Suggestions?

@Reyfox I don't know why yours isn't there, but i just changed mine out of curiousity 😂

C: Users - User name - AppData - Roaming - Microsoft - Internet Explorer - Quick Launch - User Pinned - TaskBar,

Right click on VP19 - Properties - Shortcut tab - Change icon,

Restart Windows Explorer from the Task Manager.

This grey one was there already so i just clicked & applied that..

VP is the grey one next to Ae

PS in the top pic, Change Icon - Browse to C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 19.0\vegas190.exe to find the icon.

@Former user, I tried change icon and browsed to the Program files. That didn't work.

But... changing it with your top suggestion worked! Now, I don't have to look at that non-icon thing again!!

@Reyfox 👍 I just changed it to Gid Joiner for the laugh, it still opens Vegas 19

@Reyfox 😂 noo it'd do my head in seeing my pic there, i'm not that keen on labely type things, but i think i will change it. I've had to separate V19 from V20 just so i can easily pick one or the other.

@Former user now that I have the icon back, I don't have to stare at the white box. I like to group them together too. Makes it easier on the eyes.

@Former user I sometimes focus on things I shouldn't, since they are minor. But I am one of those people that can't help but see it. It's a blessing and a curse....
