Vegas Pro 20 Build 411 stops working as it is starting up

Hello,

Just finished editing a video today and it worked fine. Went to open the program again and I get VEGAS PRO has stopped working. I am using Pro 20 build 411. I restarted the PC and tried again, no luck. I unplugged the internet, no luck. I did a full system restore, no luck. I then uninstalled and reinstalled vegas pro 20, no luck. Did this 3x, no luck. Please if someone can help. I have major projects due and I have spent all night trying to figure this out. Thank you in advance.

The fault module shows that the problem lies with the BCC+.ofx.bundle in the Program Files/Common Files/OFX/Plugins/BCC_DFT folder. As a quick workaround, try moving that bundle out of its currrent folder and place in another folder elsewhere on the computer and see if Vegas Pro opens successfully,

Hopefully, you haven't got any BCC+ FX in the project.

Why that BCC+ bundle is causing a problem can be looked at later after you'r not under a deadline.

Hoping this works for you.

Thank you, I did remove it and it still is crashing. I ended up removing all of my BCC folders one by one and that was the only way to make the program to work. Every time I get a new version of Vegas half of my FX's do not work anymore. I am so tired of this. I appreciate your help.

At the moment is BCC the major crasher for Vegas. We are in good contact with Boris and try to find a solution for this.

Yes it is BCC and that is why vegas wont even start up all of a sudden. I have to delete it all from my PC to allow Vegas to start. Bothersome as I love my FX's and spent good money for them and cant use them :( Thank you.

@Kimberly-Durecki, when you mention BCC, what specifically are you referring to? What plugins do you have and what version of Boris FX are you using?

I've had Continuum Complete for several years and am now on Continuum Complete 2024. I've never had a crash because of Boris FX. I even have some old Sapphire Units that still worked (and is working) from a few years ago.

How about filing out your user profile with your computer hardware in the Signature like mine below.

Also, reading your post, I see no mention about uninstalling Boris FX, only Vegas Pro.
