Vegas Pro 20 Not Opening

Patrick-Cox wrote on 7/11/2023, 7:41 PM

So I've done the trick where I basically disconnect from the internet to then be able to open the software but it's at a point now where I feel like there should be a fix for this by now. I tried to update from Vegas (I am on build 402) but when I went to update it had me restart my computer, so I did. I then realized after the restart that the update wouldn't take (and it did not) since it still won't open when connected to the internet but needs the internet to finish the update. Is there something completely obvious that I am missing or haven't seen yet that works for others that doesn't require disconnecting from the internet or am I stuck using that method for a while longer?

The link to the last Vegas Pro 20 build (b411) is provided in the News section of this forum - https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-20-build-411--141366/

Re the 'disconnect from the internet' workaround, the disconnect was only needed to open Vegas Pro. Once Vegas Pro has opened, the internet can be reconnected.

Awesome. Thank you for the help. I'll try this out and see if it works on both of my computers.

Hope it works for you. For my part, even offline it did not work, only formatting the PC solved the problem.
