Vegas Pro 20 with AI Video Software

charles-mcguyer wrote on 2/27/2024, 4:32 PM

I'm looking at Wonder Studio and wondering what all I can do with it. Along with Vegas Pro 20. I'd like to shoot a video and have the characters in the scenes be young (I'm old). And describe the characters to the software and have them generated by the software. In addition to that I'd like backgrounds supplied with the software that I describe to the software, replacing my backgrounds. I haven't done that much looking but can anyone recommend some AI video software, other than Wonder Studio, that works miracles and basically does most of the work. I may be dreaming and nothing like that exists at this point in the game. Thanks for any feedback.

Just between you and me, if what you are asking about is something made by Wondershare, I would run as fast as I can, in the opposite direction.

I did run as fast as I could in the other direction.

You often see 2 different types of videos from the stability diffusion type software, and neither are really suitable for your use case.

You feed it video, it gives you an output related to a model

or feed it a picture to get limited animation of person, It's possible something like Vegas's Z-Depth or other compositing may been used to create the layers, not sure.

You can change the faces with a picture of your choice using an extension like roop, but for a single picture may be convincing but for a video looks amateurish, it's not the quality of the old deep fake software.

From quickly looking at Wonder Studio it looks like you can replace yourself, even with a model smaller and thinner than yourself but only with their pre=defined animated models, and even so I could see artifacts as part of the removal process of original person. Apparently you can make your own models but It seems difficult and not straight forward (opposite of what you're after), and I don't know how well it works.

I avoid Wondershare but this is a different company. Thanks Todd-AO and all for your comments. Still looking and finding things to look into,
