I caved and purchased Vegas Pro 21 as it said it had a better stabilization FX, well that was a fail as it did the same as Vegas 20. Does anyone know if I can make a certain FONT my default. It is a pain to have to change the default font to my favorite each time I use it. Thank you in advance for any replies.. Kim
@Kimberly-Durecki Could you provide me the location of any marketing material referring to an improved stabilization FX plugin? We have not made any recent changes to that tool.
@Kimberly-Durecki In one of your last posts you were looking for a stabilization tool, This post. In the end you ended up using Resolve. In that post or maybe another you mentioned poss upgrading, I wrote that VP21 is more stable than previous versions, Vegas Mocha was mentioned but I don't see anything about VP21 having a better Stabilization fx than previous versions.
@Kimberly-Durecki It indirectly has better stabilization by using the Mocha Vegas plugin from Boris (if you have purchased the Vegas suite that is). With their planar tracking you can get rock steady stabilization. It is a bit of a learning curve due to the awkward procedure and steps, but certainly worth it. I use it all the time for my hand held 600 mm shots! There are good tutorials available.
For changing the default font, that is doable, I wrote a script to add text in font and size of my choosing, and if I am not mistaken you can alter some of config files describing the default font to be used by Vegas by an editor such as notepad++ (but be careful doing that).
On changing the default font: for example If you change following file
C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 21.0\OFX Video PlugIns\TitlesAndText.ofx.bundle\Contents\Resources\TitlesAndText.xml
around line number 48 with notepad++ (use notepad++ in administrator mode)
