Vegas Pro 21 gets stuck or works very slowly or with a long delay

Przemyslaw-Majdak wrote on 9/26/2023, 6:30 PM

As you can see on the video:

My Vegas 21 get stuck or works with huge delays, Didn't notice it just after installation, everything seemed to work quick and smooth and now working is impassable.

What can be the reason, what solution for that behaviour?

@Przemyslaw-Majdak Hi, your 31.0.15.3623 (536.23) GPU driver is the Game Ready Driver & from 6/8/2023, the newest is 537.42 & is the Studio driver which I believe Vegas recommends, Go to Help in Vegas & update your driver, see if that helps.

I use Nvidia Geforce, that might make it easier for you if you want to swap between drivers for gaming..

Something is consuming all of your available CPU resources even though this media is being decoded by the GPU. You are sure there are no Fx applied at any level? What about pan/crop animations, masking, text?

GPU activity looks good.

I'd also reduce dynamic ram preview from 50%% as you only have 32GB total to work with. A few GB should be enough for that buffer.

I've reinstall the drivers to Studio Version. Still same problem. There is big delay when trying to move event on time line. Playing working good, no delays, smooth image

@Przemyslaw-Majdak @RogerS I'm curious why the Ethernet is so active, I thought that will be using some CPU,

This is mine with a video on MCP playing & your clip loop playing in Vegas

but even when I opened iPlayer my CPU hardly moved,

Open this window on your Taskmanager - click CPU so it sorts it into highest use & see what is using the CPU?
