Vegas Pro 22 Build 122 Saving Edit details bug?

WHE wrote on 9/24/2024, 10:09 PM

The edit details panel is still very awkward to adjust but it is good that different field combinations can be saved. I would have written easily saved but I've found a bug. I'm using the default dark interface and when I try to type a name in the Edit Details edit box I can't see what I'm typing - it become black on black. This even looks deliberate (I'm sure it's not) because when the cursor is not in the edit box the box shows black text on a white background. It changes to a black background when the cursor is in the box which is crazy.

Has anyone else experience problems with using edit boxes in Vegas? Any workarounds or alternative settings to use? Thanks.

Every thing I tried to change showed black text on a white background.

@WHE

Could you please provide a screenshot? I am unable to reproduce the problem.

Thanks for the replies. What Windows Performance Options are you using? Mine is essentially adjusted for best performance. There must be some reason why my Vegas is acting differently. Here's a screenshot. The top image shows Edit Settings immediately after launch with a blank project. I don't know why the text is highlighted in blue as I didn't select it. The screenshot below shows the state of the edit filed after I have typed the word "Current":

@VEGASDerek, @WHE Seems the color scheme of Vegas has something to do with it. With the light color scheme, you can easily see the text against the background. As the color scheme gets darker, the more difficult it is to see the text. With the darkest color scheme, there is black text against black background. If you are unsure of what you typed, make a selection of the text you typed, then you get white text against blue background, for example, so you can read the Preset name of the layout you plan to save. I recall other situations where it's difficult to read the text, and those probably are related to the color scheme or skin.
