Vegas Pro 22 Build 239 Issue dragging Photos to timeline

Hello. I have another issue with dragging photos on to the timeline. When I drag and drop a photo form Project Media and release the mouse, the photo gets shifted 2 frames to the left, or sometimes 2 frames to the right. This just started with a recent build. I am taking PNG snapshots from the timeline video event then dragging to the end of the event. It should stay at the end of the event, but does not, it moves left or right. In addition, this also happens when I drag generated media from the Media Generation tab - it moves left or right from where I dropped it.

I have attached a quick video showing the issue.

ASUS Prime Z590-A Motherboard with Intel Core i7 11700 8 Core / 16 Thread 2.50GHZ, 64GB Crucial DDR4 3200( 4 x 16GB), nVidia GeForce GTX1650Super 4GB DDR5, SoundBlaster X AE5 soundcard, 3 x 4TB Samsung 860 EVO SATA 3 SSD, 2 x 8TB Samsung 870 QVO SATA 3 SSD, 1 x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVME PICE4 SSD, 2 X WD 4 TB NVME PCIE3 SSD, 2 X Viewsonic monitors, LG Blu-Ray writer. Windows 11 (latest build), currently using Vegas Pro Edit 22 latest build.

Make sure Quantize to Frames is enabled, then try again.... It is found at the top of the Options dropped down list.

This issue is not only with dragging photos to the timeline but with all media. Snapping is not working like it should at the first attempt. Always a second attempt is necessary to snap to an event already on the timeline. This is really annoying and happens since VP22 is released.

Shift - Options - Internal, in "Show only prefs containing" type in "Snap width", and change to a number smaller than 7.

I keep it turned off intentionally as I'm working with 2 videos at once, and i find exact audio synch is next to impossible with it turned on.

And it behaves differently depending on where the cursor is. If the cursor is at the end of the event, it snaps to the right. If I move the cursor from the end of the event and drop the photo, it snaps to the left.

You should always have Quantize to frames enabled when working with video. There is no reason to turn it off. The lowest unit in video is a frame. (well technically a field if working with interlaced). If you leave it off, you are asking for rendering issues.

Doesn't solve the issue.

I do this as a hobby, it keeps me busy. I'm not in any way a professional. I do not notice any ill effects with it turned off. As I mentioned, I turn it off because I need to align the audio between 2 videos exactly, and it's not possible with Quantize turned on.

You can keep it off when aligning audio and then turn quantize on and show the unquanitzed frame edges as red to avoid artifacts or errors later. Hobby or not doesn't matter.

Thanks, I never thought of that.
