Vegas Pro 22 crashes upon trying to use Boris Continuum plugins

A huge problem with my software has sprung up. Upon trying to access the FX Browser from the Title Studio plugin, I get an AMD driver timeout error after it tries to bring up the window. It looks like there are a lot of presets it's trying to load and that's doing too much.

My computer uses a Ryzen 7900 XT graphics card, 64 GB ram, 1000W power supply, and an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X so I don't understand why it can't load this interface. Is there a way to drastically reduce the amount of attention my computer needs to give to this menu? Or is there something else I need to know about this software and my computer's compatibility?

I've already reached out to AMD and they confirm the problem is with the software. I am reaching out to Boris for help as well but if there's a way to resolve this issue, please let me know.

Are you on the latest BCC update? Because their "check for update" function seems to never get the current version right. It's 18.5 now. I used to run into issues when the version was not up to date.

I checked and it's 18.5. I only downloaded the software yesterday.

@Matthew-Shahlyng I've posted the same issue with my AMD RX 6700XT, but I would get a hard crash which took out the video driver and computer would stop. I'd have to restart in Safe Mode, use the AMD's cleanup utility and reinstall the driver.

I wrote about this to Boris FX and they said a fix is on the way, and that they are working with AMD so that the fix will be burned into the video card driver.

The issue is that your card is fairly new. I've used much older drivers, going back a few years, older than your video card, to get around this issue. Who is at fault? I really don't care as long as things are fixed, which I am sure that they will be.

Everything else works in Continuum Complete 2025.5 for me, only Title Studio, which honestly, I don't use. NBFX Titler Pro is what I use for titling or even just the basic titling from Vegas.

That's fascinating. So how far back in time are we going with these drivers?

@Matthew-Shahlyng IIRC, 22.5.1. I've since updated to 25.6.2 (Optional). I noticed that there is a 25.6.3 (Optional) out now, but haven't tried it yet. There is nothing in the release notes saying anything about Boris FX.

I'd start with the oldest driver listed and see how that goes. If that doesn't solve the issue, then the only thing is to wait for the patch from BorisFX.
