VEGAS PRO 22 - Error when updating - "To execute installation..."

Vegas 22 Pro - Full license
Windows 11

When attempting to update the software the user gets a pop-up saying: "To execute this installation, you must first install VEGAS Pro 22". The software is already installed, as this comes after pressing install on the update prompt you get while starting up the software. When the install inevitably fails, pressing "Launch previous program version" correctly launches the program.

Trying to install the software update when Vegas 22 is already open also fails. Seemingly the software is unsure of where the software is installed.
Is this issue with the updater solvable without a full re-install of the software?

That is an unexpected result. Try updating to Vegas Pro 22 build 248 via the download link given in:

Seemingly the software is unsure of where the software is installed.

Hopefully, Vegas Pro is installed on the OS C:\ drive and not another drive that the update installer can't locate.

@TommiSRP Have you installed VEGAS Pro 22 build 243? It's a beta version, and for some reason, it cannot be updated to latest 248 via the update installer: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vp22-build-243-cannot-be-upgraded-to-vp22-build-248--148809/

However, no matter what version you have installed before, you can download and install the direct link releases to update your VEGAS Pro to the latest version from here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/

Run the latest direct link installer, and it will automatically uninstall your old one and install the new one. Don't worry, simply uninstalling won't clear any of your preferences or presets, so you can uninstall and install your software safely.

The installed version I have is 22.0.0.194 (Build 194) and the newest one Im prompted to is 22.0.0.284.
I will try this method with the direct link next.

The path I have for Vegas is indeed not on the default C:\ - It is installed internally on another M.2, that is faster than the boot drive I use.
Will run the install through the link. Lets see what happens.
