Vegas Pro 23 Suite = ??? ALSO: Vegas Pro 23 possible on Win 10?

CatMan wrote on 9/14/2025, 3:48 PM

====> QUESTION: Can l just get a quick answer, rather than trying it out myself: Is Vegas Pro 23 able to run on Win 10? The website says Win 11, but for the rest of the suite Win 10 is possible. I see it when l add Vegas Pro 23 Suite to my cart (l did this because l was looking for a full breakdown of the suite's components, which l still cannot find, but while in the cart, it was revealed that Pro 23 is for Win 11).

====> QUESTION: Also can somebody direct me to where the full contents of Vegas Pro 23 Suite are painstakingly listed, so that l can avoid duplicate purchases of VSTs etc.? The page at

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/whats-new/

is not very informative about the bundle contents.

MY COMMENT ====> Apart from the contents of Vegas Pro Suite, this list shown at checkout also raises another question: DOES VEGAS PRO 23 REQUIRE WINDOWS 11 i.e. IS IT INCOMPATIBLE WITH WIN 10?

Comments

VEGASDerek wrote on 9/14/2025, 8:58 PM

Since Microsoft no longer will be supporting Windows 10, we will not recommend running Vegas Pro 23 a soon to be unsupported OS. That said, nothing will prevent you from installing and running Vegas Pro 23 on Windows 10. In fact some of the developers' machines have yet to be updated to Windows 11 (and I do much testing on a Windows 10 system) and at this time, it appears to run with no problems.

So, is it incompatible? No. Is it recommended? It is not.

Thank you, that is good to know. It might help to explain that in the advertising - some people will hold back from upgrading as long as possible, waiting for all the bug reports to come in for all their creative software, before making the choice to freeze in time, go offline, and stick with the group of creativity programs they already have instead of upgrading. Or upgrading. I only upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 about 2 years ago or less, and by and large l've regretted it until now when l'm better positioned (more spare cash for software upgrades, more informed about Win 10 does to my group of creative programs).

To upgrade to Win 11 will take time to assess. I'm guessing a % of people are like me, holding back, partly because they have a group of programs and will need to upgrade a few if OS is upgraded.

P.S. I wish Magix would itemise everything in the Suite version, like they used to. I guess they've been a bit busy of late, but l recall seeing a list of past Suites and l think also fancy graphics pertaining thereto. This time? You have to Google and flit between Magix and Vegas sites and even then you won't get a full itemised list. Odd.

@silosix ... please look only at the extras with Sound Forge Pro and Acid that are listed with what you get with a Vegas Pro 23 purchase - because that is all that you are going to get. If you want all the additional extras that come with an independent purchase of Sound Forge Pro or Acid from MAGIX's full price website, then you'll need to make full price purchases of those products from MAGIX.

MAGIX products like Sound Forge Pro added to various Vegas Pro packages over the years have never included all the extras included in a full price purchase of that/those product/s from MAGIX's retail website.

***** Please note that it would have been better for you to have created a new post as your issue has nothing to do with the OP's post about using Vegas Pro 23 on Windows 10.

@Dexcon good point... was working out the Chinese math to determine things, landed here, got tunnel vision on the previous Comment's P.S. that related directly to my inquiry. Thanks for pointing it out - whacked my comment as assuredly will only lead to more confusion

@silosix I logged in to explain that your comment, like Vegas's own precis of the Pro Suite package, is confusing, though l know you (and Vegas) mean well.

Of course, individual packages will contain more than their counterparts when in the Pro bundle.

Say It Like You Mean It:

How about Vegas just spells it all out, lays it all out, like it used to? With cool screenshots etc. EDIT: at https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/gb/vegas-pro/features/

there are some cool screenshots of the extra programs but l mean: go deeper to showcase what you get within the Pro Suite, as regards Acid Pro, Soundforge, bundled FX.

I'm looking for the following plugins:

* Zynaptic Morph
* Zynaptic Pitchmap
* Zynaptic Pro Stems

I think a Zynaptic pitch shifting VST used to be bundled in the Pro Suite, but probably no longer. But l'd be very interested to read a full inventory of what FX are in the Pro Suite. I feel the manufacturers are basically saying no to money by not showcasing the Pro Suite fully.

Activation Blues & Why Some People Are Even Here (= love for Acid):

I'm still dithering due to the lack of offline activation pathways (confirmed as being impossible, in eMail comms with support). I'm just emotionally scarred from a lifetime getting blasted with malware in my Windows era (l'm online on Linux these days, dipping into offline Windows for my creativity software). It feels like a movie where some guy is asked to do just one last bank heist then everything will be okay. So, l get very apprehensive and frankly disappointed that Magix / Vegas / whatever they're called these days, are saying "no" to money by not offering offline activation which is an industry standard. I think the manufacturers underestimate the good will of people too, very few situations e.g. a computer room of cloned machines all running Vegas Pro in outer Mongolia, will slip through the net, most people will be with Vegas with at least some humand decency and l for one partly want to:

1. Upgrade to Acid Pro 11 (likely the final iteration)

2. Nab Vegas Pro at upgrade price while l'm at it

3. Throw some tax deductible cash at Magix / Vegas purely for their association with Acid Pro, which l have very fond memories of, it kept me together during a very, very, difficult time in my life, in the 2000s. (I mean, that's why l'm even here)

CatMan wrote on 10/9/2025, 1:19 PM

Of course, to activate online, l'm likely going to have to also upgrade to Win 11 to be online, and thus there will be breakages. Last time l upgraded from 7 to 10, l had breakages that l simply did not have the time to fix, nobody has time for the stupid stuff that happens when Windows goes up one iteration.

CatMan wrote on 10/14/2025, 7:05 AM

Vegas team, here's a suggestion:

Everything that is in the Acid Pro 11 Suite, goes into the Vegas Pro Suite.

And list it all (currently you need to go to checkout to see any kind of comprehensive listing).

It's not like Acid Pro 11 is going anywhere (?) so you might as well give it all, in the Vegas Pro Suite. I shall wait til Black Friday.

I think it is pretty well laid out with what is included in the Suite. This is what you get.

Ever hear of a search engine? You get just Soundforge Pro, Acid Pro, and you can easily Google the FX bundle.

They haven't been a part of Vegas Pro Suite as far as I know. Maybe, but not since VP21 Suite.

Magix isn't say "no" to money, but protecting their software. All major software require online activation. There is zero reason for being apprehensive about logging onto the internet to activate known reliable software. None. There is no "industry standard" for offline activation. Adobe? No. Avid? No. As for "good will" allowing offline activation? Nope. You are the only one harping about offline activation. Look at the world around you as evidence of the lack of good will....

Buy the product, register online and then unplug your computer if you want. No way will any company trust to activate offline anymore. You aren't going to convince anyone either.

You have options. Buy and activate online, or not.

Geez.... I've been online since 300baud days and never ever had any issues. But then, I don't do things I shouldn't.
