Vegas Pro 365 - is Vegas Pro being actively developed/new versions?

AndrewM wrote on 7/14/2025, 6:53 AM

Not seeing any hint that there might be a new VERSION of Vegas Pro this coming year, and so not seeing why the subscription will make sense for me (I don't use the Text to Speech, Speech to Text, Cloud Storage or Stock Footage).

Is Vegas Pro being actively DEVELOPED (and not just maintained) so that the subscription option makes sense for users?

Thank you for this - had not picked it up, and probably could do with more push to get it out there, but certainly puts my mind to rest (which is great news).

A lot of push and information is out there about it, and will be continued up to its release. You're just not seeing them.

Where are good places to be looking/following as I had not seen any of this and had been actively searching for it as well.

Yes the developers have talked in general terms on the forum. We're still a little ways out from 23 so promotion hasn't started.

I think the main reason to use the subscription is because the program is under rapid development and it's best to be on the latest version. (If you want to pay for an upgrade each year that would work too.) Personally I find the stock footage/SFX/music useful at times.

You probably won't see specific information about what will be in VP23 anywhere until it is officially released, or at least, very very close to it. That is what Gary Rebholz said in the video.

As always, I look forward to the release of Vegas Pro to see what they bring new to the table.

VEGAS Pro 23 is being developed....in fact we have hit the feature complete phase and are currently in beta testing. From now until release we will be working on stabilizing and solidifying VEGAS Pro. I cannot provide a release date, but development is progressing quickly, and we have some very exciting features and improvements coming.
