I think I may have figured it out. Please let me know if I've missed something.
1. Whatever version of software you have will only check for updates to that version. It can't tell if there's a brand new upgrade. So it has to be done manually, after all.
3. I don't know why I didn't receive an email notification, sent to all 365 subscribers, to upgrade the software. I did, however, receive marketing emails to say that V20 is available for purchase. That's how I got to learn about it. Maybe it was assumed that I already knew how to upgrade (see 2). 😁
PS - what do I about V19? Is it safe to uninstall after installing V20? Or are there common files/registry entries that get removed that will "break" V20 in some way?

Personally, on this laptop I have versions 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 installed. They do not interfere with each other and it keeps options open (especially if you need to test things in older versions.) So I, personally, would just leave it installed. If you do want to uninstall, just do a Windows uninstall on it and version 20 will still be fine.
