Vegas Pro 8/9

I tried rendering a WMV9 video file to an mpg2 DVD NTSC template format. It rendered successfully but the video comes out jerky whenever there is a lot of quick motion in the scene. I tried this on both Vegas Pro 8 and 9 and they came out the same. On Vegas 7, this does not happen and I have the maintained the same property settings in all three. Is there something new on Vegas Pro 8/9 that I need to "set/select" that was not on Vegas 7?

progresive to progressive from one long gop algorythm to another...

try render out to DV or a Intra based codec before WMV'ing

Thanks. I tried that after posting the problem and found it worked.
