Vegas Pro 8 and 8.1

I currently have Vegas Pro 8. I will be upgrading to WIndows 7 64 bit from Vista 32 bit. Can I get 8.1 without having to pay for it - using my 8.0 license?

word of warning: Sony doesn't support Windows 7 so any issues you have they won't help you with. The soonest they'll support it is when it's retail.

I upgraded my Vista 32 bit to Windows 7RC 32 bit. So far I like WIndows 7. I plan on going with the 64 bit Windows 7 when it goes retail. In the meantime, can I use 8.1 on Windows 7 32 bit? Or should I stick with 8.0c until I upgrade to a 64 bit OS?

8.1 is 64 bit only. You should have installed WIn 7 RC 64. You have no choice but to use 8.0c.

I can wait. I did the Windows 7 32 bit as an upgrade install. When I go retail I plan on a clean install.
