They really need to put together high quality training tapes out with better examples. Like the promo they ran last year. “Why Vegas Pro 8?” Slogan.
The tutorials that they are using on this site is basic/amateur and not impressive. When you go to Avid, Apple and Adobe sites. They all have more advances tutorial. And really show you how to do professional work.
I have been using Sony Vegas since Vegas 3. Vegas have one of the biggest following amongst the other NLE’s. But they don’t market or promote like the other 3. If you do a search on You Tube Channel, Vegas have really exploded online. They have the most tutorials and search over Apple, Avid and Premiere on You Tube channel but have a lot amateurs video’s. Also, Vegas have a big following on Digital Juice Forums and Pop forums and others. They are either 1st or 2nd and Sony really needs to capitalize off of this latest trend.
I may be changing to Final Cut Pro 7 soon if Sony can’t get this crash fix soon with Vegas Pro 9a. I’d been having problems since installing. It crashes 5 to 6 times a sessions. I want to utilize it’s new features been can’t without it freezing.
Futhermore, VideoCopilot Andrew Kramer is using Vegas in a professional way. His tutorials are the bests. You can see the timeline better than the others that are producing training tapes. Sony really needs to have Andrew Kramer demonstrate high-end tutorials on how to do highend work using Sony Vegas.
