Vegas Pro Build 595

I installed Vegas Pro 11 yesterday (April 19, 2012) and I get this error report: C:\Users\Bill Proctor\Downloads\vegaspro11.0.595_64bit.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

I've turned off all fire wall settings (I have AVG virus protection) and it will download to about the halfway point before I get the error. I've tried this at least a half dozen times...I even did it at 3:00am in the morning with the same results..

I have a Gateway FX6840-55 with a i5, 3.2 processor, that last year I did extensive updates to such as: 16Gigs of Ram, A Nividia GeForce GTX450 video card...Up to this point I never had a problem with the up dates from Sony.

Thanking you in advance....If someone could send me the downloaded file I would be more then glad to pay them for it.

I am just south of the Indianapolis Indiana are....

You should be able to just download the demo (same file, just unregistered) here:

If you 're having problems with this download, just clear your browser cache and try again.

Laurence...that is the location that I have been trying to download from...I'll clear the cache and try it again. I have sent the error message to Sony...but I don't have an idea when I'll get an answer...

Laurence...I didi as you suggested, cleared the cache and tried to download the update. Still would not work...Guess I'll keep trying until I hear from Sony.

Just for grins, try downloading the 32 bit version and see if it will install. You can have both 32 and 64 bit versions installed simultaneously on a 64 bit OS.

A .part file is a partial download. It shouldn't work as an installer.

You might try deleting it and starting the download over, or you might try a different browser, or you might try saving it to a new location. Or all three.

Here's an alternate location to download from:

The alternative site worked!! Thanks very much really was frustrating for a while. I've had Vegas Pro since 7, and never had a problem downloading the updates...gonna keep this page book marked...

I don't know if you fellas would be interested but here is a link to my web page and a film I shot last year that I have just about finished editing....the site has a few clips. The film is based on a true incident and has a lot to do with the Comanche and Pawnee Indians.....and their encounters with the Buffalo Hunters of the time period..1871-1872.

Here is the link: http://www.perfecthatproductions.com

Again...thanks for the help!!
