Vegas pro cash while running FX BCC Beauty Studio

Bradd-Baldwin wrote on 2/16/2021, 10:18 AM

Is anyone else having the problem where they get the message Vegas Pro has stopped working and Error Reporting Client is launched. If so what was your solution.

Task manager shows
VEGAS Pro (4)
   Error Reporting Client Launcher
   File I/O surrogate (not visible)
   VST Server (32 bit)
    Untitled.veg * - VEAGS Pro  18.0

My system is 64 bit XPS 8940 with 64GB, 2x32GB, DDR4 2933 MHz

should it be running VST SERVER (32 bit )

No error here. I am using VP18 latest build and Continuum 2021 Complete.

You should give more information. What version of VP and BCC you are using and how you are using it. Reproduction steps.

Version 18 build (build 434) is the version I'm using. The plug in is BCC Beauty Studio 3 units Licensed Continuum 2021 OFX. Version 14.01.602-2020-12-14 (8e6ed8b2) Job 59 Job 59 .  It lists all The 3 Active licenses with keys an Expiration date permanent.

It happens when I'm using the BCC Beauty Studio. I've been moving old video from VHS tapes on to my computer. Some are Videos that were 8mm movies that were shown on a screen and then video taped on VHS tape. Since they are old I'm trying to see if BCC Beauty Studio can clean them up. BCC Beauty Studio is the only thing I apply after bringing the .mpg file into Vegas Pro 18. It does not happen immediately it occurs after the clip has been running a while. It's happened on several different clip.

How long after the clip is running (and what do you mean by "running") does this happen?

I used Beauty Studio on a clip, set it to a continuous loop playback and it played back for several minutes and I saw nothing out of the ordinary watching Task Manager.

My computer specs are in my sig below. Here is a screenshot of it open in Vegas 18.

The clip is 4K 50P.

My clips are much larger than 4K. The problem that the program has stopped occurs at different time. Sometimes but usually after more than 5 minutes. Also a few times the program stops showing the video and displays the pop up screen saying vegas Pro has stopped. The mouse no longer works within the program but the sound in the video continues until I click in the pop up screen and send the error created back to vegas pro. This has only happened a few times other it just stopped running or maybe I didn't have sound level high enough to hear.

What is "much larger than 4K"?

If you didn't use the Beauty, would it still crash?

And if the crash is Boris related, maybe ask in their forum up to what resolution can you use it?

The file size is 1,783,094 KB and is about 24 minutes long. Without anything but the clip running it failed at about 17 minutes. Audio continued to play. This problem has happened on other clips some that were not original 8mm movies recorded from screen to VHS tapes. It has happened with direct recordings of family events recorded on VHS tapes. Also on TV recording to VHS, TV recording to VHS was 2 hours long. What was common was I was using BCC Beauty Studio but it appears that BCC Beauty Studio is not the issue. Do you have any suggestions on what may be causing this issue?

I can not see your last screen shot... too tiny. But if it's the one that is sent to Vegas as a bug report, they should have it.

My only suggestion is to work with segments. Cut the clips into 10 minute pieces. Split the clip and work on one at a time and Render it out.

And.... go to the Boris user forum and make a post about this. See what they say and suggest. They are quick in answering.

Also, you weren't specific in what file format you are using. You did mention larger than 4K, so what is it?

You can use MediaInfo to post the Tree information.
