If I was still a VMS user, I'd want more tracks. Even if it was limited to 8 or 10 tracks, it would be a big help. Mainly for title overlays and such, or when "dropping" a bunch of stills onto a background.
I moved up to the pro package at Vegas 7, and really like having the extra tracks. I think the VMS-competitive Adobe package (Premiere Elements) has 99 tracks (but I'm not 100% sure of that).
No, Pan/Crop and 2D track motion are quite different things with different uses. Vegas Studio only had Pan/Crop until around version 4 or so, then track motion was added to the studio version about the same time that the pro version got 3D track motion.
What on earh is 3D track motion anyhow? Why should I wish for it, if I don't know what it is, being a VMS user? What is the point of this top-down wish list anyhow? Why would a Pro user care about what is in VMS?
Most VMS users just wish more tracks, I do, and a decent 3d title generator.
While I have VMS and mostly stay on this forum, I go over to the Vegas Video forum and read the threads there so I can learn as much as I can about video editing. That's where I learn about the "extra" things the Pro version can do that VMS can't
Why would a Pro user care about what is in VMS?
They shouldn't. It's about VMS users hoping for Pro features as product enhancements to new versions of VMS.
