Does Sony's "Motion Picture Browser" software, bundled with Sony HDR-HC7 camcorder (which includes "Import from Camcorder" function), offer any additional "import from camcorder" function not offered by Vegas Pro?

I don't need the "picture browser" capability (and it can't be separated from the import function) so I'm wondering if I'd loose any capabilitie by removing it from my computer and saving 200MB...
