Vegas Pro Suite v.21 build 208 and AVCHD?

MURRAY-LESHNER wrote on 4/7/2024, 1:05 AM

Hello:

I just got Vegas Pro Suite v.21 build 208 and will be taking some video with a camera that produces AVCHD output. I was previously using .H264 MP4 and older software.

I searched for forum for AVCHD and many of the finds that hint at difficulty with AVCHD are for older versions of Vegas Pro, but I'm a bit confused whether the absence of v.21 problem posts means there are no problems.

Should I be able to open AVCHD files and save my finished edits as MP4 (for Youtube) in VP Suite v.21?

Thank you

I still editing AVCHD source media very regularly. No issues and it is very 'light' - easy to work with.

@MURRAY-LESHNER for best results with AVCHD, record in 1080p and not 1080i.

Thank you. I wondered about that.
