Vegas Pro v23 RENDERING ISSUE

PHIL-HOLES wrote on 9/29/2025, 3:40 PM

After making numerous attempts to render a 15 minute video using Vegas Pro v23, the final result was a 45 minute run time (15minute of intended video render / 30 minutes of additional render with no content). I even had trouble adding the aforementioned result (MPEG2 file)to the timeline (to trim the additional 30 minutes). Had to return to Vegas Pro v22 to complete the project. Any ideas why this rendered this way ?

What were your exact render settings? Was the render loop region only option selected?

I would look at the 45 point of the project and see what's there. The only time I've had something like that, I've had "something" out in that area - whether it was a sliver of an event, a marker, or something that made it indicate that was the end of the project instead of where I thought it was. If you click on the "go to end of project" button, you can see where the "end" actually is.

Same issue, just started today

Nothing at the 45 minute point of the project. This was just 30 additional minutes of no content/black screen that needed to then be removed in an additional edit/render. I do hope this gets resolved so that I can actually use Vegas Pro v23 rather than do additional unnecessary steps/work to complete a project. Until then, Vegas Pro v22 seems to be working correctly.

@PHIL-HOLES Save your project somewhere we can download and look at it.

Did you try to Render Loop Region making sure you highlighted what needs to be rendered on the timeline? Highlight beginning to end of the project by holding and dragging with the left mouse button. Click on Render, and when the Render options appear, go to the bottom and click on "Render Loop Region".

If it renders correctly, there is something further down your timeline that exists that is causing the 45min render.
