Clicking on "Check for Software Updates" in the Help menu, I get this:

The update process included the choice of updating immediately or updating on closing the program. I tried both and both times the updating process failed because:

It's a sort of Catch 22 situation: build 278 won't install because build 250 is already installed ... and ... the link to install b278 won't be available if build 250 is uninstalled. And it doesn't seem that build 278 has downloaded to one of the usual places on the computer (e.g. Downloads or MAGIX Downloads in Documents ... and build 278's installation .exe file hasn't as yet been added to the forum's download post.
