First report after a full day of editing: it seems fine. And if your system can handle 32-bit color...ack...go for it. The gain and contrast is worth it. Heck, edit without, and turn it on to render if you have to.
However, annoying niggly thing: every time I shut Vegas Pro down in Vista I get the ever-popular "Vegas 8 has stopped working." No kidding. I just shut the program down. Duh. Anyway, it's an annoying message. I'm wondering if it's just the "entirely different memory handling" that Vista does, or if it's something gacked with Vegas Pro. That said, it doesn't seem to hurt everything, and all my gear seems to work fine.
Titler: fantabulous world beater? No. Functional and funky? Yes. Better than what was there? Definitely. If you want 3D swooshing fly-bys...get a 3D renderer. I mean seriously...I do all my lower thirds and panels in photoshop and import them. The RARE time I get a request for funky mongo 3D craziness, I farm out the work. I'm an editor/producer dammit...not a Pixar wizard. :-P
