Did you get an email for it yet, I have not. Is it at the same site?

Thank you very much. I will cross my fingers and eyes for today to go smoothly... :-)

Is this happening now - 9:50am CST? Or is this a recorded thing?

It looks like it will be 11:00 AM CST.

Grazie, it's live at 11 a.m. CST (a bit over an hour from now).
Here's the email I just received.

Join us today at 11:00 CST for the 10 Vegas Pro Techniques for Power Editing webinar. If you haven't registered yet, there's still time. Learn more and register here.
If you have already registered, join us at 11:00am CST.

We will begin broadcasting a prerecorded message a half hour before the presentation begins, so you can test your connection. Once you see the prerecorded message playing, you are ready to view the live stream. When we switch from the prerecorded message to our live feed, you may see your media player go to a black screen as our live feed makes its way to your computer. You'll typically see our live feed within a minute. We are not aware of any browser compatibility issues, but if you have trouble connecting, try a different one or make sure you're using the most up-to-date version. Finally, if you have trouble connecting to our live feed, you can try connecting to it at the LiveStream website.

Hoping to "see" you soon.

Mike, I know all that, I was just ON the site and it was Gary going through the steps of VP9. Is this, what I saw, a pre-recorded session? Or what?

It's now gone. All I am looking at is a white screen. Yes I know it starts at 11:00am CST, for London that's 5:00pm - I remember last week!

But I am telling you, I WAS watching Gary's tute . . .

Grazie, maybe they were using it as a test?

What can you see now - Mike?

That music gets old fast.

And, yes, I'll take a Gannet on a stick.

Finally, I understand the audio buses!

baysidebas wrote on 2/3/2010, 10:03 AM
But can you take that audio bus downtown?

Seriously, a couple of glitches - one, there was no test preview on my location and, after the program started with no audio, I bemoaned that fact. Took me 10 minutes into the webinar to find and correct the cause - not necessarily one attributable to SCS or the hosting service - but a preview would have given me time to find and correct BEFORE the webinar started.
Jay Gladwell wrote on 2/3/2010, 10:07 AM

The first ten minutes were spent going over some very, very basic information about Vegas. Chances are you didn't miss anything.

Finally, I understand the audio buses!

It figures that I would get interrupted at the exact moment that topic came up :-(
I'll be waiting for it to be posted to watch that segment.

Fortunately I was able to watch the whole show, and at my level is was good, even though I knew the first 60 - 70%.

I gave feedback that future webinars would be great if users were polled with subjects and questions to be covered, then create levels of webinars to handle the different experienced users.

Then we could select what covers our needs.
Grazie wrote on 2/3/2010, 10:22 AM
DW? I'm trying awfully hard not to be too cynical, but I'd guess that those type of "power" tutes would be rather saleable.

And yes, of course, I am all for polling people for ideas for tutes. It's a given. Will that happen?

I had to take care of my girls before bedtime so any ideas where I can watch or download the webinar?
