Vegas records other audio tracks with new one?!

i am using Vegas 7.0d to record a soundtrack to a video file.

However some of the recording on the piano (VST on a Mac) I would like to do live with the footage playing and an Audio track in record mode..

But as Vegas is playing/recording - it seems to pick up and record the other tracks along with it?!?!

So I get my piano take plus sfx that were in the video s/t and my other music on other channels?

Any way around this? I am going from the Mac striaght into my PC soundcard, thats it!

It's not Vegas doing it, it's your sound card. Apparently you've got the sound card set to record "What U Hear" or "Mixed Stereo Output". You should set it to record "Line In" instead.

Right thanks

I am using a Digidesign Mbox 1 which has worked great with Vegas/Sforge and Acid over the years via ASIO, but cant seem to find the settings to switch this over?

There are no settings within the soundcard part of my computer, only settings for the oonboard soundcard/

And the settings in Vegas dont appear to have anything that would switch this over?

To find it double-click the volume applet in the computer system tray, or run the MBox control panel, if there is one.
