Hey y'all at SF...I thought I'd say this, since I don't know if you hear it enough here: Vegas is a great program.
I think it's better to find a tool and learn how to use it thoroughly, rather than bouncing from software to software. Anything Vegas can't do (real-time FX parameter changes, such as EQ settings, etc.) can be worked around relatively easy, and what it does do it does very well. The perfect balance between simplicity and functionality.
