Vegas saves the day (again)

Last minute Tropfest entry in urgent need of having audio mixed, credits added, a few minor glitches fixed, sound FXs edited and tweaked.
This project had been through many hands, the music arrived as an mp3 from the composer via email, the atmos was on a CD, the vision was a QT file on a DVD and the audio FXs were on a camera tape.
And 3 hours later they had their entry, still amazed at the number of times Vegas said "no problem to do that" and Vegas and Windoz didn't crash once, didn't even need to rebuild anything.

For me the best part was the reaction of the clients, this was the first time they'd seen the whole thing come together, their emotions were like I'd just delivered their first child. The job was a freebie but even though I'm a little out of pocket and a lot out of sleep I'm a little richer for the experience.

Hi Bob.

Nice to hear. It is always good to "collect" good experiences with clients. You'll never know if it leeds you to something bigger (with money) one day. I ahve experienced this some times.
