Vegas support CardDeluxe? I think not! Help requested.

I just recieved the CardDeluxe from DigitalAudioLabs.com. This card the lowest noise floor I've ever experienced and with editors like Sound Forge it sounds terrific.

BUT...

Every time I open Vegas and attempt to play a clip, wav file, or any other supported form of media, it complains that the output audio card does not support the playback type.

--An error occurred while starting playback.
--An unsupported media type was requested.
--Details: The playback device CardDeluxe Analog does not support the current output format.

I've made sure the device is properly selected in Vegas per the help file. And the card does work with other audio applications... but not my ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY Vegas!

Anyone got any light they can shed on this?

James

P.S. Digital Audio Labs claims they are working on WDM drivers... is this the one I need to make it work? I'm not clear on these ASIO/WDM/??? driver issues I see in audio forums... have I just been bitten by one?

I used the CardDeluxe all the time with Vegas. (It is my favorite stereo card for use with Forge and Vegas actually.) You don't need WDM drivers, in fact Vegas runs much better with native Wave drivers like the CardDeluxe uses.

Q: Are you setting Vegas to directly route to the CardDeluxe?
Q: Do you have Windows setup to use the CardDeluxe as its "mapper device"?
