Vegas to DVD

So I captured video from my miniDV camcorder, and rendered it as DVD NTSC. it gave me an mpeg2 file, which is fine, because the authoring program I use to make dvd's takes mpeg2's. however the program gave me an error about the file. so i thought i would try to re-endcode it with TMPGenc, and it told me I could not open the file either. so whats going on with these mpeg2 files that arent dvd compliant? any suggestions how to get these videos into dvd format??

Can you be a little more specific about the error you're getting? I've used the DVD NTSC template to create DVD's without problem.

I use SpruceUp to author my DVDs. When I try to import the mpeg2 file I get an error:
Error in System Header - Information in its component elementary streams might be corrupt.

or when I try to load it into TMPGenc I get an error:
Can not open, or not supported.

What program do you use to author your DVDs?

DVD Workshop or DVD Architect work just fine with MPEG 2 files created in Primere or Vegas.
