Vegas to You Tube for 480i?

I have been using Nick's method and the "Better" method described here: for HD video shot with my EX1.

But someone asked me to give them a You Tube upload of 720 x 480 4:3 footage shot with an SD camera.

I rendered it to uncompressed avi and was wondering which method to use for best quality.

It's around 1 minute long.

Thanks,

John

Either method will work well for 480i source. Just change the outputs to 480p in Handbrake or Avisynth.

It is the deinterlacing that is going to give you the biggest advantage over Vegas here.

If you are using 4:3 AVI as your intermediate, you will want it to be 640x480i, square pixels, and 0-255, not 16-235 at least for Handbrake.

Thanks for the reply MV.

You are saying to import the avi directly into Handbrake. Is that correct?
