Vegas Ver 4.0 upgrade to 6.0

I have version 4.0. Been out of editing for a while! Does it cost much and is it worth it to upgrade to 6.0?

i'd wait for 7 just because it's due in ~6 months at most.

If you don't have DVDA then 6 with DVD is amazing. 6 has all the features of 5 plus a couple new, but not necessary, enhancements. If you have duel core/CPU's 6 is a big boost, or if you want DVDA.

Eigther way, if it were me (and it was last year!) wait until the next version comes out. You get a $50 discount anyway. :)

Sony debuted the last few versions of Vegas at the NAB show. <href=http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/news/ShowRelease.asp?ReleaseID=596&CatID=>NAB is held in April and there is no reason to think Sony is not planning to do that again.

Usually if you buy Sony software the month or so before the new version is announced you get a automatic upgrade. Talk to a sales rep before buying.
