Vegas Video 2.0g for Feature Film Sound Editing

I am a Sound Editor who works feature movies in PC with applications like Cubase, Soundforge, etc. and very recently with Vegas Video 2.0g. Because for us to work in Protools is very expensive.

Our last film “El Bien Esquivo” www.elbienesquivo.com , it was worked in Cubase VST 32 v 5.0 and DA 88.

In our next project we would like to use Vegas Video 2.0g. So we are testing this software and we didn’t get to preview and playback on external monitor using a miro DC30 plus as video card, at least not yet!.
We don’t know if there’s an incompatibility between Vegas Video 2.0g and miro DC30 plus.

It is necessary a different video card to run Vegas Video correctly (with preview and playback on external monitor)?.

Please send any suggestion to:

The old DC30 vfw drivers, under Windows 98SE only, should work.

Vegas is better suited to DV, so a generic 1394 card AND a Sony DVMCDA2 Media converter,
or a PowerR.com media converter,
or the Dazzle DV bridge
will allow you to capture analog as DV, output DV as analog, and watch the video right off the timeline on a TV monitor as you edit.
