Cool! Do you know if I can install this whilst keeping my Vegas 2 installation?
jmpatrick wrote on 11/8/2001, 11:40 AM
I just installed the beta, and it looks like it replaced 2.0. Also, be careful about saving projects to v3.0...you won't be able to open them in 2.0 if you need to go back.

So far, I like what I see. I'm rendering with the new DV codec. By the way, the beta doesn't include the ability to render MPEG 2, but it's supposed to be on the final.

later.

Does anybody know whether the VCD quality of the new MPEG encoder in VV3 improves over that from VV2? In addition, does anybody know what MPEG encoder SF is licensing to use in VV3?

Thanks,

Do you know when it expires?
steveh wrote on 11/8/2001, 12:48 PM
looks line the end of the month. My beta says it expires in 22 days...
play fast...
jmpatrick wrote on 11/8/2001, 12:57 PM
It's supposed to look better and be faster. However, it isn't included on the beta, apparently for licensing reasons, so I can't try it yet.

you should be able to run both side by side. Please let them know if you can't.

You are correct...after checking I discovered they're both there.

Thanks.
