Vegas Video 3 Installation

After I'de downloaded it I was supposed to upgrade my installer...no problems there...but then it asked me to overwrite the files that were on the harddrive[from the earlier installation of Vegas 2.oh]. I said no because it being a "BETA" program still,I didn't want my earlier 2.oh to get messed up. Am I thinking this out correctly or should I do a reinstallation of the program with the overwrites? I found a bunch of problems already, but I want an opinion on if this might be because of what I did. Did anybody else follow this route? Will report issues to the forum and tech support pronto after response.

Vegas 2 and 3 can live side by side on any of the supported OSs. For best results make sure Vegas 2 is 2.0h (the latest update).

I installed the beta and it works flawlessly with 2.0. Although, to be truthful, I like the beta better so I've haven't used the old stuff since installing. I've tried nearly everything I can think of and I can't seem to break it. I really wanted to find the best bug of all, but alas, it still eludes me. I'm ready to officially upgrade.

Very true!! Cannot wait for 3.0 to come out! 3.0 works flawlessly w/ 2.0 - had no install problems what-so-ever.

Hello,

What happened was when you started the install the first time it put some files in the setup folder, it is ok to overwrite these files, it's not going to overwrite your 2.0h files, I promise.

Just go ahead and select yes to overwrite, By the way, it's just overwriting setup files not the program files.

See ya, Rockit
