Vegas Video 4 dosen't see my sony mini dv(dcr-trv20)

When I tried to capture footage it does not see the device, I have it connected with
1394. I never had any problems with my other software program (Premier).
If anyone has a solution please reply.

No solution, just a note to tell you that I also use the DCR-TRV20, and have had no problems with V4 or SceneAlyzer Live. Probably a dumb question, but you do have the camera set to VTR mode, and not camera (actually, Camera mode may work for capturing live stuff - I've never tried it...) or picture mode, right?

This may happened when the firewire cable is not properly connected.
I have this problem and finally found out that the DV cable is not fully plug in.

A fresh window restart may helps
