Vegas Video Advantages

I am new to nonlinear editing and have been researching all
the common software NLEs: Premiere, EditDV, Media Studio
Pro, etc. I've read a lot about Vegas Video on the Sonic
Foundry web site and have downloaded both betas. What I
need to know is what makes Vegas better or different than
any of the more established NLEs? Why should I start off
using Vegas as opposed to Premiere or EditDV or Media
Studio Pro?

Thanks. Any comments from editors who have used both Vegas
and the others would be most appreciated.

Hello Ed.

If you were to ask me personally, I would tell you that it is one of
the more powerful programs available as of now, but the best part is
that it's very easy to get started with!

Thanks.
