Vegas Video Capture Problem

I have installed the Vegas Video program and can not get the video capture
to work correctly and am hoping some one might have gone through this and
has some help.

The capture program when started will sometimes work for a few captures
then the program seems to slow down and stalls. In other words when trying
to go to the menus or the camera control buttons the program just stops
responding. Sometimes by turning the camera off and waiting the program may
start to respond again, but most often just crashes.

I have tried everything I can think of and have changed program settings as
per GG's post but no luck.

Things I have done:

formatted c: and clean install of win 98se
updated drivers
updated to VVg
updated VV capture
updated directx

system gateway 550 pIII
256 ram
nvidia 32 meg video
dedicated hd for video
pyro ohci compliant card
irq 10 no conflicts

If any can suggest something I am missing I would be extremely grateful. I had a very stable Raptor with EditDV, but really really like VV.

Thanks again and kind regards,

Brian

Yes I am using the pyro ohci card...I removed the raptor...redid the whole c: drive and reinstalled my system with new drivers for the pyro.

Thanks again

At this point I would update my Nvidia and soundcard drivers, and see if that makes a diffeence.

If that doesn't work go through the troubleshooting OHCI devices pdf, available here:
