I am going to DV Expo East in a few weeks, and I was very disappointed to not find Sonic Foundry in attendance with a booth, vendor session, etc. It would have been really helpful to talk with an expert, learn advanced editing techniques with VV4, etc.

After trying most every popular NLE out there I can honest say that I am blown away by the quality, prices, and ingenuity of Vegas Video. I believe they'll advance far beyond the popularity of Avid and Premiere someday, but SF needs to make themselves known at events like DV Expo if they want to get ahead. Maybe the whole Sony buyout thing messed it up for them this year.
