Vegas Video Plug-In Pack Activation Problem

Jessariah67 wrote on 5/11/2002, 4:05 PM
I've got a serial number and activation code, but can't figure out where to put them and get rid of the SF logo. I double clicked the registry editor they included, then rebooted, but it still doesn't take care of it. Anyone know what the magic word is to get this app out of demo mode?

Thanks

Are you sure it's still in demo mode? Most Sonic Foundry applications show a "logo" splash screen when they start up even after they've been registered.

No, the logo is on screen during the new transitions. I've been looking, and there is now application where you can "put in the activation info" with the plug in packs.

When I went to check how I did mine, I got a surprise - I registered these a month ago, but they have spontaneously unregistered themselves - the watermark is back!

To make things worse, I'm sure there was previously an "unlock" button in the transition window, but this seems to have gone - could someone from SF help?

This sounds like a call to SF Tech support...;)

Bring up the transition's property page, there should be a "Register" button. You should be able to enter you codes there (use "Register over the phone" and you'll get an entry field).

Thanks - I had tried re-registering online several times yesterday, and got an error message each time.

This morning I must have been more awake - I noticed the little box from my Firewall Software which asks if I want Vegas to access the internet. I normally click "No" out of habit, then it dawned on me that clicking Yes might help the registration process.

It's a wonderful thing, intelligence ;)

Transition Properties worked. Thanks for the info.
