Vegas Video - Video Upload Q

I have a firewire port on the back of my Nvidia Geforce 5700 Ultara, and I connected this to the firewire port on my Sony DCR-TRV730 NTSC (Camera) and It's saying device not detected.

Do I need to download some software so it will pick up the video from my graphics card?

The Nvidia GeForce 5700 is not an OHCI compliant card.
