Well it's not a Windows 2000 problem as such because I have it running on Win 2k right now.

can you be more specific? what is the 'opening screen' that you are seeing? do you see any error messages? does the application freeze?

The same with me here. The demo crashes right after the first start after the plugins are scanned.

The instruction "0x1300e638" referenced memory at "0x00000018". The memory could not be "read".

I deinstalled and reinstalled it, but it didn't change anything.

Vegas 2 Demo worked.

Instaling win 2000 from scratch, Vegas video 3 works fine. It could be a driver or whatever.
