Vegas w/ lotsa plugins crashing...normal?

Hi all,
I'm on VV3/98SE and since I've gotten my 1.7 GHz I've taken to using tons o' plugins: Track FX, Buss FX, whatever. It's all good, and I love VV.

What has been happening a fair bit lately, perhaps a few times per session, is freezing up. I figure this is obviously due to the myriad of plugins I've got going on. Luckily I Ctrl-S every couple edits or so as habit, so I never lose anything, but it gets irritating (and it won't look good when I've got a client sitting beside me)

Am I right? Is this common for everyone else, or should I be looking into the problem more?

Thx DE

That's a tough answer to get...

My advice is use the (www.vb-audio.com) VB_plugman to test if there is some kind of problem with a particular plugin. The advantage of VB_plugman is that it allows you to enable, disable or remove the installed plugins. In order to find the problematic one you can just disable (instead of the usual removal) the plugins and enable them back anytime until you find the problematic one(s). I found this plug-in manager the very best there is and it is also free...

Good luck
