Vegas won't restore/maximize if PNG on timeline

When minimized in Vista 64bit, Vegas, at times, refuses to restore/maximize except with Task Manager. I've tried to narrow this down and this appears to only happen when a project contains a PNG file on the timeline. No other applications I'm running on this machine has this problem and I don't have this problem on my XP system. I have not tested every kind of file on the timeline but PNG's ( of any size) do seem to cause the problem. If the PNG’s are removed from the timeline, the problem still persists but if the project is closed, the problem is gone until PNG files on placed on the timeline. Can anyone duplicate this behavior?

Running VP8 on Q6600 quad core with Vista 64 - 4gigs ram.

I'll answer my own question here as Sony responded promptly to my query as follows:

Thank you for contacting Sony Creative Software. Please be advised that Vegas Pro is not currently supported on 64-bit versions of Windows. I'm sorry, but no technical support can be provided when running the software on an unsupported operating system.

This restore/maximize issue will be the first thing I test when 64bit comes out.
It's fairly annoying.
