Vegas12 <-> Jack <-> Cubase

Hello.
I do know how to use Jack under linux.
Did never try it under Windows until tonight.

As you can see with the picture below, Cubase is set on the Jack Asio driver, and sound is Ok through Jack.

Problem : I can only set the Asio from Vegas to my Creative Asio :
Vegas does not find the Asio driver from Cubase
Vegas does not find the Asio driver from Jack.
I shall search tomorrow as it's a bit late in France.

But if someone knows how to set everything with Vegas...

Why working this way ? because sound in Cubase is much powerfull than sound in Vegas.
For those who do not know Jack - in two words, what you synchronise in Vegas is synchronised in Cubase through Jack. And vice versa.

Are you using a 32-bit or a 64-bit version of Cubase? You may want to make sure you are using the 64-bit Cubase, and that all ASIO drivers are 64-bit.

Still not sure what you want to achieve with this workflow, however!

Thank you DeadRadioStar : you are right, my Asio devices and Cubase are 32 bit.

Did not think it could be a problem because you never get this problem under Linux : everything exept Windows compatibility (Wine...) runs in 64 bits.

Problem of Vegas 12 is not Vegas from Sony, it is Microsoft Windows.
How many people are still using Ms Windows 32 bits today ? probably many.
I would say very very few under Osx or Linux.

Many musicians use midi today. A powerful workflow is an easy workflow both for the video guy and the musician working together on the same project.
