Vegas15 using 20% cpu while it's doing nothing

Has anyone else had problems with Vegas using CPU while doing nothing. I find with my slow I7 it's core2 (of 4) that is most greatly affected - averaging 40%. Although I think it might be related to BCC plugins, If I start a new project with no filters (after the project that used BCC filters) I still have the 20% cpu while vegas is doing nothing. My intel 6700 is not a fast I7 so it probably matters when I have multiple filters & the fps is shockingly terrible.

If I start re-start vegas it is using no cpu.

Just interested if anyone has noticed similar. Obviously If you have a faster cpu probably less percentage of CPU in use while doing nothing. Other thing of note is that constant cpu use results after timeline playback. If I load multi filter project but don't press playback on timeline cpu stays at zero.

As a further update. I uninstalled the trial version of BCC 11, reinstalled BCC10, loaded a heap of filters played on timeline & now I have vegas 15 using between 9-10% cpu while doing nothing, so half the cpu use of BCC11.

Anyone else have this constant cpu fault seemingly due to BCC?

I just tried another project with other filters, not BCC played on timeline, pressed stop & have constant 15% cpu. Sounds like a problem with my install of vegas which seems to have happened after install of BCC11 trial. After a few more attempts to fix I will probably have to reinstall vegas or maybe wait for next revision of VP15 & hope for best

Do you have a Nvidia gpu and gpu preview is on?

It seems to be a rather old issue with the above combination. I have the same pb as you. If I turn off gpu timeline preview, no more cpu used for nothing.

Thanks for that. Yes I have Nvidia gpu and preview on. I"ll give that a shot
