Is it possible to create a script that would automatically select the time between two markers plus the necessary one second for the Vegas2Handbrake script to work?

In other words, suppose I have a 2hr DVD on the timeline, with markers at each chapter. And I want to encode each of these chapters with Vegas2Handbrake. There's no easy way to get the correct loop region other than manually Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Export your markers to a text file, then use drax.
Search this forum.

I believe so.
Since the file gets manually imported to handbrake, I don't know how to suggest a wworkfow

I'm reading your posts about Drax and I'm not so sure this is what I'm wanting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems this Drax program is somehow used to make chapters within MP4 files. That's not what I want to do. I want to encode separate MP4 files for each chapter on my timeline. The only way I know how to do this is to manually click to drag a loop region, then drag to add 1 more second to the end of it, then run the script, encode my file, and repeat the process again for each chapter on my vegas timeline. I was hoping there was a way to automatically select the loop+1 sec for each region.

Regardless of the transport used, Handbrake does not encode chapters to separate files, except one at a time, using in/out points, not chapter points directly.

When I say chapters, I am referring to Chapters from the DVD. Each chapter from the DVD is on the timeline and they are separated by markers. I don't even care about encoding them all automatically in a batch if that cannot be done. I'm just looking for a way to Quickly select area to be encoded by handbrake.

Yes, I could do it that way if I were going directly from the DVD to an mp4 file. But I am first bringing the video into Vegas so that I can do color correction and improve the quality of the audio before going to handbrake. so Now you see the problem?

Yes, I see you're having the same problem a lot of handbrake users have.
If you want to re-author your dvd in Architect, handbrake "might" accept separate titles for encoding (not chapters). Handbrake should accept your new dvd straightaway.

Re author? Do you mean to encode another DVD? That would be terrible loss of quality.. I'm so lost on this. I guess I have to do it manually since no solution

I just came up with another idea that would maybe be much easier for someone to create. Could a script be made that simply adds the 1 second to an existing loop region? That way, all I'd need to do is double click the area between two markers to get the actual time of the chapter, then run the script to add 1 sec, then send to handbrake. This would be much easier than having to zoom in on the timeline and drag to get precisely 1 second. Could something like this be done?
