How do you render in Vegas 5 so the audio will not have to be recompressed in DVDA2? I want the best output for a DVD.
I rendered as MainConcept MPEG2, template DVD NTSC, Audio 48,000.
DVDA2 shows that it will recompress the audio.
These are the properties of my file going to DVDA2:
General
Type: MainConcept MPEG-2
Size: 2.53 GB (2,591,662,080 bytes)

Streams
Video: 00:54:28.799, 29.970 fps interlaced, 720x480x32, MPEG-2
Audio: 00:54:28.800, 48,000 Hz, Stereo, MPEG Layer 2

Plug-In
Name: mcplug.dll
Folder: C:\Program Files\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\File Formats\MCMPEG
Version: Version 2.0 (Build 229)
Company: Sony Pictures Digital Inc.

Render your audio as a Dolby-Digital AC-3 file. You can do this from the same project, and Vegas wil render only the audio. Use this AC3 file in your DVDA project.
