VEGAS5 - MASK

Hy,

I am from SLOVAKIA and I am not good in English language (SORRY).

I hed a VEGAS4 and I used a MASK. When I used PRINT TO TAPE, the VEGAS4 was rendered only VIDEO WITH MASK. Video Without mask not be RENDERED.
In VEGAS5 if I READ the project from VEGAS4 (or I make project in VEGAS5 with mask), VEGAS5 RENDERED ALSO VIDEO WITHOUT MASK !!!

WHY ???

Do you have the latest build of Vegas 5 with DVDA? There was a bug in an earlier build that made this possible. I ran into it myself once or twice.

There may be a PAL problem I'm not familiar with. Do you have DVDA 2.0? If so, make sure you've got the latest build (121) because that also had some fixes for what was breaking code in Vegas 5, from what I was told.

If you are using Parent/Child tracks for your mask, this sounds similar to the situation in my "Why does Straight DV render?" thread.

It appears that with Parent / Child tracks above, even where they are empty, V5 renders everything.
