Vegasaur vs Excalibur

Any thoughts people on which is better? I know that's probably impossible to determine objectively, but just which one is better for you and why?
I tried the demo of Excalibur, while I enjoyed some of the futures, many of them I simply can't figure out.
One thing I do need though, is to be able to create a strobe effect like excal does. I can't tell from Vegasaur's home page if theirs does the same

You might also want to look at VASST Ultimate S Pro and Ultimate S Lite. Both can do the strobe effect by adding markers at the interval you want the strobe and and then deleting between markers to slice up the event.

In the interest of full disclosure I work at VASST and created Ultimate S and the other VASST script plug-ins along with Douglas Spotted Eagle.

From what I can tell right off the bat, Ultimate S Pro might even be a better option given that there appears to be better documentation and tutorials.

I just tried registering for the site for Ultimate S Pro and I got an error message, here's what it said:

A critical error has occurred.
You have been redirected to this default Login Page because the Login Page set for this website does not contain a valid DotNetNuke Account Login module, or the permissions have not been set correctly.

Don't know if this is your department or anything, but thought you might like to know.

There's full documentation on Excalibur by going to the About tab and clicking on "Documentation". If you send me an e-mail, I'm also happy to answer any questions concerning Excalibur as well.

I've been using Excalibur for years and love it. Amazing how much time it can save you on certain tasks.

Ultimate S Pro allows me to do some things Excalibur can't, like media proxy (AVCHD to MTS) conversion/switch or batch render to any format with regions as file names.

I was able to create a registration on the VASST site, so I'm not sure what trouble you're having doing that, just FYI.
